Queer Lit Book Club – Young Mungo
Monday 4th July starting 5:30 pm for 7:30 pm
A monthly book club covering all manner of queer lit: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, maybe some theory, probably a graphic novel or two. We get together from 5.30-7.30pm on the first Monday of every month, upstairs at Gleebooks to discuss the previous month’s title.
For our July book club we’ll discuss Douglas Stuart’s Young Mungo.
From Booker Prize-winner Douglas Stuart, an extraordinary, page-turning second novel, a vivid portrayal of working-class life and a highly suspenseful story of the dangerous first love of two young men: Mungo and James.
Entry is free, and book club participants will receive 10% off the cost of all book club books. (Digital coupons will be sent along with your RSVP confirmation.) Seats are limited, so make sure not to miss out!
Gleebooks is an inclusive space where all voices are welcome. Unfortunately the ‘book club’ space isn’t currently wheelchair accessible, but we are working on it!
